Leah’s Wellness Journal | VOL. 1

Hi Shop Good Fam, Leah here, coming to you from my at-home, product-cluttered desk. Welcome to my monthly ‘Wellness Journal’ where I am excited to reconnect with you, and share what I’m learning as the Founder and CEO of Shop Good, the mom of two littles, and as a woman continuing to navigate my health and wellness journey.

What began as a blog in 2012, sharing my wellness journey and the cool natural products and lifestyle hacks I discovered while working to get my health back… has now manifested itself into physical spaces (our shops and spas!) that I can now share with you IRL.

I’m proud of all Shop Good’s growth, but it hasn’t come without its challenges & major lessons. Running a bootstrapped company during such a volatile time is no cakewalk. And it has (naturally) pulled me away from my ‘why’ I started Shop Good in the first place.

I’m hoping this newsletter will allow me to reconnect with you, reconnect with writing (I love writing), and, after having two babies and postpartum woes, allow me to share all the cutting-edge clean beauty tools, wellness practices, and philosophies that have helped me to finally reconnect with myself.

Tune in here for quick bits of this… and more.

This month, I’ll start with a few thoughts and essentials that are keeping me going right now. Until then, hit reply and let me know what you’d like to see in my Wellness Journal. Let’s keep the conversation wide open, clean beauties!

Currently Not In My Drawer

I have a bad habit of leaving out the things I’m currently using, not away in the drawer where they belong. You know it’s in heavy rotation if it’s splayed out on my desk or bathroom counter. Here’s what I’m staring at, as I write this.

JUNA ‘NIGHTCAP’                  BOTNIA ‘WELL SERUM’                      RMS ‘HYDRA-BRONZER’

Quick Bits

My bestie runs a shop called Local Nomad; she’s been one of my biggest inspirations since day one! She sources sustainable goods from all around the globe, and she uses her platform to speak out about human and reproductive rights. Her summer assortment is insanely good.

I’m trialing ‘Filter Baby’, an easy-to-install sink filter for improving skin health. I’m actually noticing a difference in my skin’s clarity, even through my luteal phase.
Try it out at our Beauty Bar at both locations or learn more here.

Here’s a quote I’ve been leaning on the past month: “Everything is hard. Choose your hard.”
On Stressful days when I think it would be easier to throw the towel in, I realize I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else than the work

I’m doing at Shop Good.
