Job Description

We’re hiring a full-time Community Lead to spearhead all things customer connection—from influencer and creator partnerships to loyalty, brand collaborations, and IRL events. This person will bring our community strategy to life and turn passive customers into active brand champions.

The ideal candidate is part marketer, part community builder. You understand the nuances of cultural currency and have a strong pulse on what’s working in beauty, content, and consumer brands today. You're highly organized, obsessed with relationships, and comfortable working cross-functionally with content, product, and agency partners.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nimble, high-impact environment. You’ll be working directly with the Founder/CMO and shaping the way people experience the brand—online and off. This is a hybrid role, with one day per week in-office in San Diego .

Responsibilities

Influencer & Creator Partnerships

  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of influencer and creator partnerships—from identifying talent aligned with our brand ethos to managing briefs, gifting, contracts, and tracking performance
  • Build and maintain a diverse, tiered roster of creators (macro, mid, micro, and UGC) tailored to key moments across evergreen, product launch, and brand storytelling needs
  • Develop a system for tracking creator performance—including engagement, content usage, and affiliate performance—and use insights to iterate on creator strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with content and paid teams to source creator assets for both organic and paid use, including whitelisting and licensing content

Events & Partnerships

  • Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of branded IRL and virtual events (e.g., community pop-ups, founder-led talks, product launches) that deepen engagement and drive brand love
  • Own all logistics including budget management, vendor coordination, guest list curation, product sampling, and post-event recaps
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute brand partnerships and co-branded activations that drive awareness and customer acquisition, especially with local businesses or like-minded lifestyle brands
  • Ensure events and activations are captured for storytelling across social and email, working closely with the content team on recaps, asset needs, and publishing cadence

Loyalty & Retention

  • Build and manage a loyalty program that aligns with our brand values, encourages repeat purchase behavior, and rewards meaningful engagement both online and offline
  • Partner with a tech provider to manage program buildout—including segmentation logic, points mechanics, tiers, and campaign flow
  • Own the ongoing optimization of loyalty program performance, analyzing redemption rates, repeat purchase behavior, and customer lifetime value to inform changes
  • Develop referral campaigns and surprise-and-delight tactics to extend customer advocacy and amplify word-of-mouth

Community Engagement

  • Be the daily voice of the brand across social and community channels, leading 1:1 engagement through DMs, comments, tags, and other community touchpoints
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with super fans and brand advocates, turning casual customers into active members of the community through recognition and involvement
  • Implement structured listening systems (e.g., polls, surveys, DMs) to gather qualitative insights on products, experience, and customer sentiment and share findings cross-functionally
  • Lead efforts for personalized community moments—birthday shoutouts, early access, and exclusive drops—to build long-term emotional connection

Growth Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the paid media team and agency partners to identify and scale high-performing creator content through whitelisting, paid amplification, and creative testing
  • Collaborate closely with the content lead to ensure all community, influencer, and event storytelling aligns with overarching campaign messaging and brand voice
  • Contribute to integrated marketing planning by sharing audience insights and performance recaps across all community-driven channels
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset to emerging growth opportunities (e.g., affiliate, ambassador programs, Pinterest, campus reps), launching small pilots and scaling what works

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years experience in community, influencer, partnerships, or marketing roles at a consumer brand or agency
  • Proven experience planning events and managing creator/influencer campaigns
  • Strong communicator with a natural ability to build relationships—IRL and online
  • Solid understanding of performance metrics (CAC, LTV, engagement rate, etc.)
  • Highly organized project manager with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Passionate about beauty, wellness, and culture—deeply tuned into what’s trending
  • Comfortable being both strategic and in the weeds
  • Experience working cross-functionally with creatives, agency partners, and leadership
  • Familiar with influencer platforms like Aspire, Incense, Superfiliate, or similar
