Dry Skin, Be Gone! (with these 3 pro-tips)

As the seasons change, our skin does too. I know you’re all feeling it. Particularly during this time of year, the change of seasons from fall to winter brings on an irritating and frustrating dryness that your year-round skincare routine just can’t kick. Hey! Your skin concerns are ours too! Here’s my expert guide on how you can dump dry skin before it gets tooo cozy and clingy this winter season.
You’ve heard this word many-a-times. But, promise, it’s wildly beneficial in order to slough off dead dry skin and regenerate new cell turnover. Our fave form of exfoliation this winter is Urb Apothecary’s Cactus Face Polish. *Wait, did you say cactus?* I know, sounds extreme. Sidenote: Using organic, natural exfoliators are not only beneficial for your skin, but also the environment. This is actually incredibly abrasive on our skin, creating micro-tears on the surface of the epidermis. Plus, when you wash off those little plastic beads, down the drain and into our oceans they go. Side note: Are you *actually* drinking enough water? Pro tip: If you’re not sure if you’re drinking enough water, a simple equation you can do to calculate the right amount of water according to your bio individuality is to take your weight and divide that number in half and that’s how many ounces of water is most ideal for your body. Example- if I weigh 130 lbs, half of that is 65, therefore in accordance to my body, 65 ounces of water on a daily basis should be my goal.
